Film with Pride

Film with Pride

Film with Pride forms part of Liverpool City Region Pride Foundation’s year-round programme of social and cultural events. Showcasing the very best of LGBT+ cinema from around the world, we collaborate to ensure the best in new and classic LGBT+ cinema can be seen across the Liverpool City Region and create chances to view films in a friendly, social setting.

Our Short Film Gala night will showcase the very best LGBT short films that explore the lives and experiences of LGBT+ people living in the UK.

Films submitted before the end of June 2019 will also be considered for our selection of a film to take part in the IRIS Prize best of British competition.

We want to see your LGBT short films be they features, documentaries, animations or experimental: you may get through to our Gala Night or be selected to show with a feature length film on one of our regular film social nights.

Help us bring more LGBT to the people!

Films selected will be screened in Liverpool as part of our Gala Film Night at Picturehouse@FACT on Monday 25 November 2019 and/or at one of our other film social events.

One film chosen from those submitted before June 30 will be submitted to the IRIS Prize BEST of BRITISH

If you wish your film to be considered for our selection to go forward to the IRIS Prize Best of British, your film must:
* submit before 30 June 2019
If you wish to be considered for our Gala Night, submit before 30 September 2019.

Your films MUST be

* be 39 minutes or less,
* should be by, for, about or of interest to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or intersex audiences
* must have been completed within 2 years prior to the submission deadline (between 1 July 2017 and 1 July 2019).
