Cottage on Dartmoor (A)

UK, English, 88 mins

Original Title

Escape from Dartmoor
  • Director: Anthony Asquith
  • Writer: Herbert Price; Anthony Asquith
  • Producer: H. Bruce Woolfe

CGiii Comment

A piece of cinematic history by Asquith - a priviledged, closeted alcoholic.

Technically, it's rather impressive - many a film student could learn a great deal from this.

But...in truth, it's hackneyed melodrama.
