Tiger King...ay there's the rub. What's there to like? What's there not to like?

Call them eccentrics, call them obsessives...call them what you will...but, what they all are, are criminals, liars, exploiters, deceivers, cheaters...and, incredible as it may seem, absolute [and deluded] narcissists.

Joe Exotic is a joke...who gets the men!

Doc Bhagavan Antle is just plain dangerous...who gets the women!

As for Jeff Lowe...he's a dangerous joke...who will get [hopefully and not in the too distant future] all that's coming to him.

Then there's the saccharine-drenched, sickly-sweetness of Carole I-did-not-feed-my-missing-millionaire-presumed-dead-[ex]husband-to-my-tigers Baskin...she gets everything...but, wants more! Her holier than thou, too good to be true persona has been well and truly blighted...prompting her to [ludicrously] defend herself and her tarnished reputation over allegations that she used a meat grinder to dispose of her presumed-dead-ex-husband's body...

"Our meat grinder was one of those little tabletop, hand crank things, like you’d have in your kitchen at home. Meat had to first be cut into one-inch cubes like you see here to go through it. The idea that a human body and skeleton could be put through it is idiotic. But the Netflix directors did not care. They just showed a bigger grinder."

Hysterical...you really couldn't make this stuff up. But...it's all here in glorious colour!

Tiger King really is a perverse form of entertainment...make of it what you will...but, remember...lives, liberty and limbs were all lost in the making of this story...now, that may sound facetious...but, that's exactly the tone adopted by the filmmakers!

The(ir) Blurb...

Among the eccentrics and cult personalities in the stranger-than-fiction world of big cat owners, few stand out more than Joe Exotic, a mulleted, gun-toting polygamist and country western singer who presides over an Oklahoma roadside zoo. Charismatic but misguided, Joe and an unbelievable cast of characters including drug kingpins, conmen, and cult leaders all share a passion for big cats, and the status and attention their dangerous menageries garner. But things take a dark turn when Carole Baskin, an animal activist and owner of a big cat sanctuary, threatens to put them out of business, stoking a rivalry that eventually leads to Joe's arrest for a murder-for-hire plot, and reveals a twisted tale where the only thing more dangerous than a big cat is its owner.
