Carlos is a man who works in Oviedo (capital of Principality of Asturias, north to Spain) in a local TV as Kar-El, a fortune-teller who predicts the future of the people using digital tarot cards. In his daily life out of the work, Carlos is a lonely man living in his own world, stuck in the past unable to handle his own life and frustrated by his unsuccessful wishes to be an actor following the steps of his mother, Carmen, considered the most important Spanish actress of all times. But when a national TV channel offers Carlos the chance to appear in a famous TV show, it will force Carlos to face his actual situation about him and his family, making some discoveries: that his rebel and more experimented daughter Melina doesn't want to be heavy metal's singer but goalkeeper, that his shy son Jon is gay and that he doesn't want lawyer but ballet dancer, and that Carmen is diagnosed with a terminal cancer...
