Trans Film Fest Stockholm

Trans Film Fest Stockholm 2023 will be the the 7th Edition of our film festival, taking place in Stockholm around Trans Day of Visibility (31st of march). We are planning on holding our usual mix of Trans & gender-diverse long & short films, interesting discussions, & welcoming social events.
Our focus is on selecting films made by and with Trans and gender-diverse people (including but not limited to people who define as Transgender, Intersex, Non-Binary, Gender-nonconforming, Genderqueer). We will also look to LGBT and Queer films with strong Trans and gender diverse content, or LGBT and Queer films made by Trans and gender-diverse people.
This year the theme / leading words for the film festival is Trans Joy. This is because we want to see more joy reflected in our selections. But please note that this does not mean that everything we show has to be a happily-ever-after all the way through.
Again this year, we are putting out a call for film submissions, so please submit your film(s) for consideration. We're looking forward to receiving your work!
We don't give prices. This festival aims to provide a space to reflect on Trans people and how we in our community can change the harmful narratives of trans people worldwide.
