CGiii Comment

Is he a gay boy or not? It doesn't really matter, he's so very foul - it's agony watching him for 99 minutes.

There's a great big difference between placed on the Autistic spectrum than being described as emotionally sensitive - the biggest mistake Chandler Levack made with his debut feature. Challenging behaviour is treated and regarded as something completely when there's a diagnosis! How this film would have benefited from such a diagnosis.

Let us hope that Isaiah Lehtinen is indeed a great character actor - because bearing any similarity with this character would be a shot in the foot!

As for the lie, the truth and the incomprehensible backstab...they really do come out of nowhere. Not thought through.

Not funny in the slightest. Totally annoying.

The(ir) Blurb...

Socially awkward 17-year-old cinephile, Lawrence Kweller, played by Isaiah Lehtinen, is self-absorbed and movie-obsessed. Fully convinced he can earn $90,000 to achieve his dream of attending film school at NYU, he gets a part-time job at Sequels video store. There older store manager, Alana, played by Romina D'Ugo, takes him under her wing. Meanwhile Lawrence sabotages every high school relationship he has with his narcissistic film snobbery. Faced with the impending reality of university life, Lawrence must change his ways.
