CGiii Comment

An Oscar-winning Box Office flop...due to the possible intervention of the tycoon, Hearst.

It has been hailed as one of the greatest films ever made...but, to appreciate this greatness...some technical knowledge must be known as to the innovations that Welles developed and used.

Sexual subtext is everywhere - sexual & political scandals were threatened at Orson by Hearst - the drama that this film created is possibly better than the drama on screen.
