Best friends Gautam & Buddha are the cross dressing stars of the New Conquerors, a risqué, all-male travelling theatre in rural India. While Buddha is openly gay, Gautam has a wife and a son back in the village. Set in a milieu far from the court battles that recently overturned India's anti-gay law, this feature-length documentary finds nuance, tolerance, and complexity in an unexpected corner of the world.
