CGiii Comment

In 1995, gay couple Malik and Aaron move from Chicago to small-town America with their teenage daughter, but there’s something unnerving about their overly friendly new neighbours.

After someone breaks in and spray-paints homophobic graffiti on their wall, and he witnesses a strange party next door, Malik is forced to reckon with past traumas as he tries to prove Rusty Creek is not what it seems. But how far is he willing to go to unravel the truth and protect his family, as his own life begins to spiral out of control?

Featuring a star-making performance from Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (UnREAL, American Horror Story), and co-written by Colin Minihan (writer-director of What Keeps You Alive), Spiral is a spine-tingling exploration of what people will do in the name of fear and prejudice. A chilling and timely addition to the queer horror canon about the dangers of not learning from the past.
