An archival of survival, desire, and self-representation
When the pandemic hits New York, Máxima Mauricio, an Argentine migrant sex worker, turns to old VHS tapes of her past, longing for her golden days in Buenos Aires and Miami, while confronting a childhood marked by neglect and abuse. As she revisits the life she left behind, she finds strength in friendship, chosen family, and the trans community that surrounds her.
