A film that perfectly highlights some of the ridiculous systems that have been put in place...to protect vulnerable people...thereby endangering them further.
This is a film that shows...when people are given the opportunity to help...they do. Thankfully, there are people like Aunty Twinkle...she may not have much...but, she certainly dishes out a whole lot of support.
A phenomenally moving film.
After suffering abuse from her stepfather, a 16 y/o queer Mahina must navigate life on the streets, until she eventually finds refuge at the Puuhonua o Waianae - Hawaii's largest organized homeless encampment.
