Taxidermia

Country: Hungary, Language: Hungarian, 91 mins

  • Director: György Pálfi
  • Writer: György Pálfi; Lajos Parti Nagy
  • Producer: Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu; Emilie Georges

CGiii Comment

Inventive, at times beautiful, disturbing and grotesque...

Pálfi certainly hates his country...possibly, the world. This is not easy viewing - those with a penchant for the macabre will revel in its depravity.

Those with a more sensitive constitution will, no doubt, switch off well before it descends into its stomach-churning conclusion.
