Sex is Comedy: the revolution of intimacy coordinators

CGiii Comment

A fascinating insight into the role of the intimacy co-ordinator, told through behind-the-scenes access to new queer French TV show Split.

It will be impossible to watch – or listen to – any sex scene in the same way after seeing this. Sex Is Comedy follows new intimacy co-ordinator Paloma Garcia Martens, which allows unprecedented access to the way sex scenes, and boundaries around them, are created for the screen. It’s a complex and challenging role, and this documentary is explicit in its exploration of the dilemmas confronted by many in the industry.
