1930, in the mountains of Jalisco. Emilia, a teenager, lives her sexual awakening in silence with her adoptive siblings, Caro and Martín. In search of her freedom, she flees into the mountains where she passes herself off as a young mule driver to survive between the living and the dying, between guardians and deserters, without knowing that Martín is stalking her. Emilia's path will take her back to the ranch to defy her destiny and escape with Caro.
