  • Writer: Euripides; Pier Paolo Pasolini
  • Producer: Marina Cicogna; Klaus Hellwig

CGiii Comment

It boasts Callas - and that is all.

The sound is unacceptable, the dubbing is lunacy - dubbing Italian on Italian - why?

It's Pasolini's weakest work - there are those that hail it to be a work of art - those are sycophantic film students trying to up their grades.

It's rubbish - there, it's been said - let's face it, most of Pasolini's work is rubbish - inaccessible, self-indulgent twaddle.
