Part of Channel 4's 50 Shades of Gay Season...

A film that delivers a staggering revelation with regard to the [bogus] Turing Law...you've got to be dead for it to apply!!!

Yes...the Turing Law is a posthumous pardon...not very helpful for those still carrying [and suffering from] a [bogus] sexual conviction!

If you are still alive...the Turing Law is pulp...you have to go through an arduous process of getting your conviction disregarded...now, for a conviction to be disregarded...(1) one has to re-live the whole ordeal again, documenting and proving every detail that the 'act' was consensual, rather difficult if the other person is dead...and, (2) the offence is no longer a crime. The scheme does not include sexual activity in a public lavatory (which is still illegal)...so, all those cottage 'crimes' are still criminal!!!

As of July 2017...only 150 case have been disregarded since the [disregard] 'act' was introduced in 2012...in other words, it's a farce...

It's a farce promulgated by - the then - coalition government to woo the pink vote...they certainly succeeded in doing that!

As for the 'pink' media...well, they were all happy to report that 50,000 dead men were to be pardoned!!! As if it really matters to them!

What about those still living!?!

The 'pink' media have a responsibility to report the facts behind what can only be described as a publicity stunt...Mr Wilde, Mr Turing et al. must be spinning, sickening and screaming in their graves!!!

This film is a start...of something that needs to be bellowed-from-the-rooftops...where are all the activists when you really need them? Oh they'll be screaming somewhere about gender-neutral toilets...co-ed cottages...that's a new one for the statute books!

Disregard that!!!

The(ir) Blurb...

To mark the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in private, CONVICTED FOR LOVE tells the dramatic and emotional story of four gay men who fell foul of Britain’s homophobic laws. The government’s 2017 Turing’s Law promises a pardon and an apology for men like these, hounded for their homosexuality. But this film reveals that for many of them, the injustice continues.
