Heartbeats - Love Imagined

Country: Canada, Language: English, 95 mins

Original Title

Les Amours Imaginaires
  • Director: Xavier Dolan
  • Writer: Xavier Dolan
  • Producer: Xavier Dolan; Carole Mondello

CGiii Comment

Dolan's ego has gotten out of hand - beautifully filmed, apart from the absurd focus pulling.

Possibly, this will appeal...to the lovelorn youth.

But...to those a little older - suffering the insufferable and continuous outpouring of Dolan's philosophical inexperience is tantamount to cruelty.

His precocity is admirable, his pretension arguable - his experience, negligible - grow up little boy...there are those older and wiser.
