CGiii Comment

This shamefully overlooked film deserves due praise and an audience.

Speed-walking and the loves of a teenage boy...coping with the sudden loss of his mother, a nihilistic father, a rather strange older brother, an intimate friend and his patient girlfriend.

Life couldn't be more complicated for one so young.

There is a deft wit played against the suppressed, raw emotion of a premature death...but, life goes on. We fall, we pick ourselves back up.

Love Hurts...becomes the recurrent song, theme and tone...succinctly observed, beautifully filmed and played to perfection by a gifted young actor.

Laughter, anger and tears...what more could you ask for?!?

The(ir) Blurb...

Martin (14) is forced to deal with confused sexuality and the loss of a mother in a provincial setting in the mid-seventies, where the famed Danish liberation of porn has had its influence on the grownups.
