Marni is a single mother, bartender and pool hustler in the grimy town of Extraction, USA which despite being in an energy boom, offers only scraps for the working class, making it necessary for her to endure harassment from her boss in order to provide for her teenage son. One night while hustling patrons over pool to make some cash, a mysterious drifter named Steph strides into their bar, sees right through Marni and challenges her to a game of pool and of hearts. Impressed by Steph's skill, charisma, and honesty, Marni makes a move and the two fall for each other. Together, through some turbulent times, they hatch schemes to hustle high stakes pool from the Extraction elite. When Marni and Steph uncover a dangerous and lucrative drug ring, they pull Jason into the mix and plot an high stakes heist to score the sweetest payout yet and attempt to escape Extraction with their lives.
