Three 14-year-old girls go camping in France with their parents. The campsite turns out to be a mini-universe full of peers and a place without any obligations. Which choices do you make?
The 14-year-old Malak, Celia and Jae travel with their parents to southern France for a summer without school, homework or daily duties. At the campsite, they can be who they want to be and do whatever they want. One looks for the company of her peers, the other withdraws into the online world with her smartphone and the third stays permanently in touch with her boyfriend. Intimate, dreamy and recognisable documentary about infatuation, insecurity and that complex period between childhood and adulthood.
Avec Sweeties (Liefjes), Anneke de Lind van Wijngaarden et Natalie Bruijns proposent un film sur le passage à l'âge adulte. On y suit trois filles de 14 ans pendant leurs vacances d'été au camping La Plaine, au pied d'une montagne près de la rivière Ardèche, dans le sud de la France. Toutes les trois ont envie de découvrir quelque chose sur l'amour. Et les réalisatrices ont bien l’intention de comprendre ce qu’est l’amour lorsqu’on a 14 ans.
