CGiii Comment
When on-screen chemistry works, it can be electric.
Here, it works...thanks to a rather fine performance by Guillaume Gouix...as the reluctant-soon-to-be-smitten lover. His smile really does light up the screen.
An interesting exploration into when the needy become needed...in more ways than one. The first two acts are strong and satisfying. The third is slightly misjudged, shifting the sympathy away from the sensitivity was perhaps too bold a step to take - especially in the way that it was done. But...that may be a little too subjective.
Still, a mature work that clearly displays and defines Lambert's talent.
And, when Guillaume Gouix cries - you will too.
