CGiii Comment

There is simply not enough material to fill the 89 minute runtime!

Considering the subject matter, porn and all the sleaze that goes with it...the director's cup should have been running over!. Alas, not...Brandon Ruckdashel, star/writer/director, does too many jobs, none of them with any particular strength.

Sadly...it comes across as a vanity project...why Mr Ruckdashel needed to show himself - in flagrante - showering is anyone's guess!?! As for the jogging scene...c'mon!!! His storyline is more of an abstraction than a support to the main thrust of the film.

The script is just cliché after cliché...it's a familiar story, done-to-death...if you're going to travel down a well-trodden route, bring something new to the table...as well as some [much-needed] artistry.

Furthermore, what's with all the close-ups? Obviously, an artistic endeavour to simulate intimacy...however, there is a thing called overkill!

Grinder is myopic filmmaking...this star/writer/director needed a new prescription before the cameras started to roll...sometimes [doing] less produces [much] more!
