This is as 'gay' as it gets...
You either get Pee-Wee or you don't...there's no middle-ground for the elvish one. Credit to the make-up department...he hasn't aged a year. He's still (truly) creepy, somewhat annoying...and, thoroughly entertaining.
Yes...we get the Pee...we do, we really do!
Some of the 'jokes' do tend to go on for far too long...the balloon...an excruciatingly pitchy few minutes...detrimental to both health and hearing.
Look...Pee-Wee is an oddity, his films are oddities...this film is an oddity with slap-dash moments of hootin' hilarity.
Sit back...relax and enjoy Paul Reubens...he's made a substantial career out of being...odd.
