It's definitely a competent film.
The parents reaction to the 'coming out' of their son is 'typical' - hopefully, parents will watch this and admit that:
(1) it's none of their business and,
(2) feeling sorry for themselves is really rather stupid and ultimately selfish and cruel.
A pleasant little film that skims the surface which is its failing - the acting is fine, the direction is slick but the writing just fails to make an impression.
Thoroughly watchable though.
