CGiii Comment
A classic case of bi/gay-baiting! Throw in a rather steamy man-on-man scene at the beginning...then, keep them [the audience] waiting [for more].
The best way to watch this is as a cinematic PhD - that is, a failed PhD! Omissions, inaccuracies, presumptions and falsehoods litter this failed attempt to bring Alexander's life to the screen. A few historians involved may be facing their tenure to be removed!
On a more positive note...it looks pretty good. Production values are surprisingly high...and, there are plenty of nubile bodies and homo-erotica to please the eye!
Whether there will be a second series or not is anyone's guess. It's a contest between eye candy and historical authenticity...more entertaining than educational...perhaps, that really was the intention!
