CGiii Comment
Well...this certainly ruffled the feathers of the super-sensitive snowflakes! Proving - without contest, debate or argument - that 'snowflakes' have absolutely no sense-of-humour whatsoever...and, take themselves way too seriously...finding offence in everything. What a miserable, nit-picking bunch they are!
Season 1 of Insatiable offends - practically - everyone. And, it's hilarious. Hey...if you can't laugh at yourself...don't transfer all your grumbles and gripes onto others!
As camp as camp can be...and, as colourful as technicolor can get...Insatiable throws light on and the darkest of shade at each and every character...it's neither shaming nor washing nor declaring everyone to some kind of 'phobe' - this is a searing condemnation of the PC culture that has invaded sensibility. So...the irony is a glorious, in-your-face, patently 'pageanted', self-mocking finger to all those who squirm and moan for no reason other than to squirm and moan.
And...that 'finger' is squarely directed to all those 200,000+ people who signed the petition based on the trailer. Yes, you read that right...they demanded the show to be boycotted and cancelled simply on the basis of watching the trailer! Lord help us if 'they' manage to infiltrate the legal profession...hung, drawn and quartered on a shred of evidence!
To the credit of Netflix...they too gave them the 'finger' - by commissioning a second series...and, good god, does it cross more lines than a lousy tennis player!
Bravo Netflix...here's to season 3 and more heightened absurdity!
