The only reason Dean became a 'legend' is, simply, because Hollywood needed to cash-in on their dead investment - that premature death cost the studio a fortune.
Here...there is no mention of his bisexuality, his penchant for amputees nor the legend of being a human ashtray.
The whole voice-over from the grave is, frankly, ineffective and ridiculous.
Here, Dean comes across as a dour, miserable, petulant, self-important, self-indulgent little prick.
Maybe - he was.
He does, perhaps, deserve a decent film - but, he only made 3 films himself...not exactly a vast legacy...but, they were good. This is not.
