Don't be duped into thinking that this is a warts 'n' all expose on the camp maestro - it's not.
Filmed by his partner - wonder how he got that job?!?
This is a carefully constructed view - he's shown to be bitchy, to be petulant, to be decadent - in perfectly measured doses so as not to be too off-putting.
It would have been a completely different film under the captaincy of someone not so involved.
Show the diva - for this is one diva who has the money and talent to be a true diva.
