CGiii Comment
Aaah sweet suburbia. Foibles and all.
What would you do with your life after you received a terminal diagnosis?
Make amends?
Build a house?
This is not a savage film - it could easily have been.
It's a mature look at a mature situation. And, it will touch you to the core - due to Kline's perfectly pitched performance.
Shame that this slipped under the radar - a gentle, heartbreak set amidst the terrible teens.

When a man is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he takes custody of his misanthropic teenage son, for whom quality time means getting high, engaging in small-time prostitution, and avoiding his father.
