CGiii Comment

Think Love Actually...without the charm, wit or warmth.

There are just too many storylines, characters and words. To be fair, the gay storyline is - by far - the best...footballers getting it on...with a fail dollop of sensitivity.

It's a shame...because, the production values and performances are all pretty good.

But...when the strong is surrounded by the weak...you tend to turn off (or, head for the kettle)...Love Actually worked because of all the recognisable faces...perhaps, in Spain, this worked just as well as its obvious inspiration...sadly, it's a film that doesn't travel too well.

The(ir) Blurb...

In 2013 the comet Rose crossed the skies of the city of Barcelona and its magic that night caused 346 love stories flourish. An atmosphere of dreams, hopes and desire mixed to give a special connection between people.

From these stories six are the stars of the film. A dinner among friends with a love of life is coupled with a first time for miles. An encounter that can change their lives and revive old ties that clash with the discovery of a baby on the way. In parallel, the struggle between friendship and love strikes the last story, a clandestine love between athletes who have to make a tough decision.
