CGiii Comment
A debut feature from brothers, Eadward & George Stocks...they should have made a short film instead.
It has that major failing that too many low-budget, debut features tend to have...strong premise with an exhausting execution...stretching the elastic until it snaps! If you don't have enough material for a feature...don't make a feature!!!
Despite a relatively strong start...unfortunately, as the film nears its conclusion...it all starts to unravel, not in an Agatha Christie sort-of-way...it does come across as a poor man's Mr Ripley.
Despicable characters are certainly fun to play and to be played with...but, when all the characters are [truly] despicable, there's no room for manoeuvre...leaving, as this film does, a rather unsatisfactory taste in the mouth!
