Redwoods

Country: United States, Language: English, 82 mins

  • Director: David Lewis
  • Writer: David Lewis
  • Producer: Bill Gollihur; Kirkland Tibbels

CGiii Comment

Sadly, this is a whole lot worse than Rock Haven, (Lewis' first film) and that film didn't exactly have much going for it.

Here, the two leads are awkward - Montgomery is almost like the kiss of death when it comes to CGiii - for some unknown reason he is cast in supposedly attractive/handsome roles - he is neither...and, his acting ability is questionable.

Bradly and his strange looks coupled with his camp, squeaky voice annoy rather than attract.

The script is immature and cliche-ridden - it's almost like watching The Waltons-with-poofs.

On a more positive note, the cinematography is pretty damn good - the locations are glorious.

Lewis should abandon writing immediately - he lives in cloud cuckoo-land.

His directing may improve with age - that is, if he lives until 130 and wants to make features for evangelical TV.

Toothache inducing talentless crap.

And, what's with the backward kid?
