Another hefty kick in balls for the vatican...

There are bad priests and there are good priests...aren't they all meant to be good?!?

Anyway...this is a story about a systematic, priestly abuser of boys and the one good priest in this particular diocese...who battles with his conscience.

The vatican is highly-proficient at buying silence...dishing out gagging-orders willy-nilly...regardless of the consequences...such compassion, what integrity!

Money absolves...pay them off, drop the court case...well, money doesn't erase the memories...the effects and the fallout that the victims and families have to suffer...

This is a bold film...it makes no fuss of the issues...it blatantly states that there is a right way of dealing with these papa-edo-priests and there is wrong way...the hierarchy tends to favour the wrong way...well, the old ex-pope paved that route with a carpet of compensation cheques!

With fine performances all round...it's another example of how this heinous institution gets  a justified bashing and, like water off a duck's back, manages to face its public with its slimey and insipid integrity.

Not a pleasant film...but, an effective one.
