This is what you can do with a tiny budget...when you have talent!!!
A mad and [somewhat] macabre imagination has been let loose in the feature debut...by Matthew Wollin...long may it continue!
Pills and Grindr...for some, a joyous [!] combination...for others, a nightmare. Guess what route this grizzily little film takes? Hell mend those pill-popping penile-pleasure seekers...!
With only a handful of actors and a couple of interiors, Mr Wollin plays with the absurd, maintains a tricky tension and [cunningly] keeps the tongue-in-cheek wildly in place...and even throws in a generous dollop of emasculation...not literally of course...that would be too obvious!
There's nothing obvious in this rêve maladie...it twist and turns, bumps and bounces all over the confined spaces. Quirky? Most certainly. Enjoyable? In a weird and even weirder way.
An unbridled and most assured debut...what else does Mr Wollin have up his sleeve? We eagerly await!

The(ir) Blurb...
This sinister drama-thriller evokes the feel of a contemporary film noir, with a shades of GET OUT-meets-Grindr. When Josef arrives at John’s apartment for a date, their prickly energy slowly gives way to an unusual and genuine chemistry. But after Josef takes a pill with unclear effects, the night takes a shocking turn, and he is plunged into a surreal interrogation of just who and what he is. Pascal Arquimedes’ compelling lead performance keeps the viewer holding their breath from beginning to end.
