CGiii Comment
There's nothing quite like watching a wealthy family's dysfunction...oooh, rather than warming your heart...this churns your stomach!
The stalwarts - in the film - are, presumably, the therapist and the mother...both rather unhinged and inadequate in their chosen fields!
It's a thoroughly dismal thing to watch...apart from the dysfunction, there are several and severe mental health issues, historic child abuse, attempted suicides, latent lesbian yearnings, grudges and disillusionment. In other words, there's too much going on...throw into the mix, a writer's errant imagination and it all starts to fall apart...just like the [metaphorical] bridge that collapses under no fault of its own!
Wrapping up all these strands is an almost impossible task...Peer Pedersen seems to take the easy way out...he doesn't wrap anything up!
