CGiii Comment

There is a rock-solid reason as to why BFI Flare rejected this film...it is unrelentlessly terrible.

As to why other [LGBT] film festivals (and there were a few) decided to include this junk in their program is cause for concern...those curators/exhibitors/programmers (call them what you will) should seek gainful employment elsewhere.

Just because it's LGBT doesn't necessarily mean it's worthy...of exhibition. The thought of people paying to see this...sends shudders down the spine.

There is a fine line between the 'bad' and the intentionally 'bad' - the latter usually requires a certain sense-of-humour, an un-honed, haphazard talent (but, a talent nonetheless)...and, a few strong characters to make things work. Think John Waters...and Divine, Mink Stole...

Dyke Hard has neither hint nor trace of these requirements...no-one can act. No-one can sing (it is a musical!). As for the writng...a mescaline-meathead could have come up with something more coherent. A clinically depressed gerbil could have been funnier than this...tripe.

This is the nadir of filmmaking (and exhibition).

And now, for the good points...
