The problem with activists is...they all think they are right. Things get ugly when activists from different camps clash...
This is the [trans]world according to Munroe Bergdorf, an attempt to answer the question: What makes a woman? Although she does not answer the question, she does throw her [obvious] agenda out there. There's nothing wrong with having an agenda...but, when confronted with a question that requires an answer, she fails.
Ms Bergdorf lives in the public eye...yet, she states that some aspects of her life are none of anyone's business. Picking and choosing what and what not to reveal is a risky business, those taboo subjects are what the tabloids crave!
So...genital reassignment is her taboo subject. The question she failed to answer is primarily concerned with that part of the anatomy...
A mother states that she does not want her 11 year old daughter - when in a changing room - to see an adult [male] penis. Fair enough. Female-only safe spaces are [now] - through this type of activism - endangered places...and, when something is endangered - usually - some kind of fight ensues!
There are no easy answers when it comes to trans*issues, all opinions are relevant. Ms Bergdorf won't be happy until trans* becomes mainstream...it looks like she won't be happy for a very long time.
Will this documentary help her case? Probably not.
