Film Independent Spirit Awards 2018...Nominations...
The Film Independent Spirit Awards, founded in 1984, are awards dedicated to independent filmmakers. Winners were typically presented with acrylic glass pyramids containing suspended shoestrings representing the paltry budgets of independent films.
Quite a few Spirit 'Best Feature' films have gone on to win the Oscar...it's looking good for Call Me By Your Name, BPM (Beats Per Minute) and A Fantastic Woman.
The ceremony will take place inside its usual tent setting on a beach in Santa Monica, California on March 3, 2018.
