Flexing with Monty

Country: USA, Language: English, 90 mins

  • Director: John Albo
  • Writer: John Albo
  • Producer: John Albo; James Bird

CGiii Comment

14 years in the making and, easily, one of the worst films ever made.

Goddard overdosed and died a few weeks after the final scene was filmed (in 2003) - he was all muscle with no-acting-talent whatsoever - seriously, this is embarrassingly bad.

Albo - what to say about this persistent auteur - well, he is persistent and thick-skinned.

Mr Albo, the reason that this project took so long...and, experienced financial meltdown was, perhaps, due to the fact that it is utter tripe - seriously, devoid of any redeeming features.

Waste not an iota on this amateur indulgence.

The(ir) Blurb...

Monty is a bodybuilder. His gym is the very heart of his existence. He is aggressively male, outrageously narcissistic and a bigot. Sharing this strange world is Monty's cerebral and emotionally wounded younger brother, Bertin. One stormy day, the brothers' bizarre but settled lives are suddenly disrupted by the unexpected arrival of Lilith, a Catholic nun collecting contributions for an unusual cause. Lilith's arrival is the catalyst required to generate a momentous change in Bertin's relationship with his brother, a change that results in the astonishing and gruesome downfall of the vainglorious Monty.
