The first fan-funded drag film of all time!
The first film from director/writer: Matt Kugelman.
Is it a travesty? Not in the slightest! Phew!
Look...it's not the greatest film ever made nor does it look like a restricted-budget, makeshift indie...which it is...but, hallelujah, with the obvious talent on both sides of the camera. It's a polished little film...that will bowl you over.
Hurricane Bianca oozes charm - out-of-drag Roy Haylock is adorable. In drag...well, let's just say that he could have been cruder than crude...and that, perhaps, is the film's weakness...it's a little too safe...apart from the line about holding the cat's legs! Classic!
Next time - for there surely must be a next time...take it to the edge. Throw all caution to the wind and let Bianca - mercilessly - let rip!
