Fathers Project: What If Aids Never Existed? (The)

Watch this film...for it is an outstanding, blistering piece of work.
So much has been spent on this: The production values are through the roof, the imagination is stark raving mad...and, the idealism is positively head-spinning.
It will certainly offend...the prudes, the conservatives. Terrify and horrify those biblical-bashers.
And...it will definitely challenge those with a more understanding and lax temperament. In other words...everyone who watches this will have the words "Holy F&*k" dancing on the tips of their tongues.
As for the libertines...their only quibble will be with the [artistic] censorship...adopted throughout a rather extreme Mapplethorpe-esque FF orgy. And...it is photographed just as good as its inspiration. It's beautiful...and, eye-watering.
Let us not forget...the purpose of this film. To remember those we lost. And...to reflect on what they would be doing now...had they survived.
This is mere whimsy fueled by a potent creative juice. This is a vision of "what if"...it is both tribute and respectful...deeply so.
Please...watch this film...it is without peers!

The Fathers Project is a sci-fi short docu-series that imagines the world if AIDS never happened and a generation lived to change the world. A queer utopia named Stonewall Nation has been founded by a generation of activist and artists, Vito Russo became their first gay president, the Gay Men's Health Force have invented poppers that cure STD's, and gay Mardi Gras Krewes have provided care for LGBT elderly. By 2020, a new queer religion has been created. Featuring survivor interviews, filmed in real-life events, and exploring actual historical events and figures. Filmed on location in queer meccas across America including Provincetown, San Francisco, New Orleans, New York, Zipolite/CDMX. Unprecedented access was granted to the filmmakers to document gay Mardi Gras, parades, leather fairs, spiritual rituals, and much more.
