It takes a while and when the bomb is dropped, the whole thing changes.

The sentimentality is almost washed away...and, by the end, it gets you - thanks to a purposeful performance by Ms Channing.

The(ir) Blurb...

The one thing that Marion (STOCKARD CHANNING) and Arthur (HARVEY FIERSTEIN) ever had in common--her ex-husband and his lover--has been lost to them both. Though Collin is gone, the pain of his death from AIDS lingers on. Now the two people he loved most must come to terms with his absence and their relationship. In a sad, funny and poignant encounter, the two turn to each other--not for consolation, but as targets of blame for Collin's death. Arthur showers Marion with insults and bitterness. Marion fights back. In the aftermath , they find that Collin can be the common ground again--in the future of their friendship.
