Why not take the biggest lesbian cliché of all time and make it into a movie!?!
Well...that's exactly what they did...two young women - both rather high on the maintenance scale - meet and decide to 'live' together [almost] immediately.
Basically, this is descends into a two-hander that flounders in a swamp of abject indulgence, they have sex every hour and - in-between - they travail every emotion know to womankind. It's an aural assault that culminates in a vitriolic scene involving poop! Most foul indeed!
The Duplass brothers are executive producers and [both] make an appearance as anally retentive directors [not too far from the truth there]...brief as these scenes are, they will make anyone shudder with embarrassment.
Miguel Arteta directs this indulgence loosely...relying on improvisation and 'going with' whatever the actors through at each other...and, they throw everything but the kitchen sink! It's an exhausting watch and really rather dull.
Trailer...
Two women, jaded by dishonest and broken relationships, make a pact to spend 24 uninterrupted hours together, having sex on the hour. Their romantic experiment intends to create a new form of intimacy, but it doesn't quite go as planned.
