The Miss Gay America pageant...yes, it really does exist...and, some people take it very seriously indeed...spending small fortunes in order to compete.

The 'pageant' has come a long way since the 1968 film, 'The Queen' - gone is the bitching, gone are the rough edges...

This is the story of 5 competitors - all rather pleasant people...there's no interaction, no bitching and no rough edges.

Perhaps, with a bit of bitching and some rough edges, it wouldn't have been such a boring show. Sorry, but there is so much of drag that a non-drag queen can take before the rot sets in.

A few tantrums would have been good.
