Kitchen sink drama and what it was like to be a teen in the early 60s - pretty damn grim by the looks of it.
It's is an engrossing tale of friendship and clandestine attraction - realistically done.
This is possibly The Crying Game of the 60s.
Now, it's not so subtle to shock...but, in its day...wow.
Unfortunately, few people make films with this amount of integrity.

Reggie and Dot are a young South London couple who get married before they really get to know each other. After the marriage, they quickly begin to drift apart. Dot seems content to pursue her own interests, until Reggie meets Pete, a fellow cyclist, and begins to explore his own identity.
