Chosen family is everything! Today is the last day of life for Jimmy (James Carrozo). With his Alzheimer’s disease worsening, Jimmy has decided to take his own life through medically assisted suicide, but he plans to die the way he has always lived: with intention, humor, and zest. To this end, Jimmy will show the people around him—an obituary writer, his death doula, his estranged brother, his caretaker, a surreal being, and the guests invited to his fabulous funeral—that perhaps the art of dying is actually the art of lying. MOON MANOR puts the “fun” in funeral while asking deep questions about queer lives and legacies.
