MIX COPENHAGEN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival

MIX COPENHAGEN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival

Friday, 24 October 2025 until Sunday, 02 November 2025

MIX COPENHAGEN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival started in 1986 and is now the leading LGBTQIA+ film festival in the Nordics.

We show the best in contemporary LGBTQ+ cinema that push and challenge societal notions and conceptions of gender and sexuality. Our focus is not only to bring the best queer cinema to Copenhagen, but also to provide a platform for community.

THE LILI AWARD
Our award for Best Feature, Best Documentary and Best Short Film is named after the Danish transgender artist Lili Elbe, who became the first person to undergo gender affirming surgery in 1930. She was married to accomplished artist Gerda Wegener. They moved to Paris in 1912 to live openly as lesbians.

The films in competition are nominated by our Programming team and the winners are selected by the International Jury.

THE AUDIENCE AWARD
Selected by our fantastic audience. To participate our festival guests simply vote after the screening of a nominated film.

The Audience Award winner will be announced at our Award Ceremony.
