Here's a little film that you will either love...or, loathe...we loved it!

Not only is it totally deranged...it's hot...it's sweaty...and, it's - unashamedly - in your face, from start to finish.

Real life brothers deliver rather bravura performances as on-screen [uninhibited] brothers...who both harbour and share a little secret, that is...until the unmentionable hits the fan...and, when it hits, it makes for one great big psychological mess.

Alberto Fuguet has drawn a line between what is art and what is porn...with the limited budget he had, he resisted the temptation to cross-over into all-out debauchery...which would have been the easier route to take...with such meagre funds!

Instead, he has delivered a twisted and skillful tale of mind-blowing dysfunction...with a fatalistic desolation thrown in...just to keep the emotion a few degrees below boiling point.

Usually, when an auteur throws everything - but the kitchen sink - at the screen only a fraction sticks. Everything sticks here! It's both riveting and twisted, horrid and horrific...talented and totally inspired!

This is what can be produced on a limited budget...when the talent - on both sides of the camera - is unlimited.

A marvelously warped and torrid film!

The(ir) Blurb...

It’s Christmas Eve, 1986, and Borja is a precocious teenager with a passion for film. As his extended family comes together to celebrate the holiday, the combined forces of the suffocating Chilean heat, free-flowing drinks, and repressed desire contribute to the eruption of long-held secrets. This hypnotic story from Chile is both an enticing family melodrama and an explicit erotic thriller about the ways that passion and desire control our lives — from our pop-culture tastes to our sexual fantasies.
