Over the years, the Ecrans Mixtes Festival has established itself as one of France’s leading queer festivals.
With retrospectives of internationally renowned film directors such as Panos H. Koutras in 2015, Alain Guiraudie in 2016, Jonathan Caouette in 2017, João Pedro Rodrigues in 2018, James Ivory and Marie Losier in 2019, John Waters in 2020, Gaël Morel and Ulrike Ottinger in 2021, Catherine Corsini in 2022 and Christophe Honoré and Terence Davies in 2023, as well as its number of screenings and partner cinemas, it is now the second most important film festival in the Lyon metropolitan area.
