Welcome to the second year of La Frontera Queer Film Fest!

La Frontera Queer Film Fest is an initiative of Valley AIDS Council (VAC) and the members of the South Texas Equality Project (STEP) and films selected will be showcased during Pride in The Park (June 28, 2019 at the McAllen Convention Center). La Frontera Queer Film Fest expands organizers scope of outreach and HIV prevention work in the Rio Grande Valley, by telling the stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and transgender identities, with a vision to prioritize creative works by and for people of color, and stories from and about the borderlands. This festival aims to showcase both feature and short films, in addition to mainstream and avant-garde works.
